Grace weaves its way through March
I don’t know about you, but I feel as though I’m being steadily stripped of all that is not for my highest good. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, alarming, but when I step back into a more meditative space and seek inner guidance, then clarity and a sense of the bigger picture are quickly restored. The phrase that came to me most strongly this month was: “Instead of thinking, ‘This has been taken away from me’, reframe it as, ‘This has been taken away for me’. A tiny tweak, but this phrase feels completely different — lighter, full of hope and new possibilities. When all feels lost, this seed of hope can keep our energy field open enough to receive help and fresh opportunities.
My I Ching reading for March highlights the theme of Grace (Hexagram 22). Here are some of the ways we can work with the energy of Grace to make the best of this month:
Nourish the kidneys and liver — find a balance between being (yin) and doing (yang) at this time of transition from winter to spring. Inner work, going inward, being still, is as important for our equilibrium until the strong active energies surge in at the equinox on 20th March. This year, the shift in gear will be turbo-charged, so we want to have enough fuel in the tank (or charge in our battery). Buds and blossom are now poised, ready to spring open as soon as the weather warms in the UK; there’s grace in their patient waiting for the right moment.
Giving space for creative urges to arise and manifest. The influence of Pisces comes through in dreams and imagination. Diving into these more can bring rich insights.
Beginning to create, to sketch out how you’d like your life to unfold from this moment: picturing your dreams as though they are already manifested. Imagination, we are being reminded again, is the main portal to creating and manifesting: thinking things into existence. Which also means we need to be more vigilant about our thoughts generally now: persistent negative beliefs can generate negative outcomes. My favourite phrase is “What you focus on grows”. We have a choice!
Going deeper into co-creation with the Earth, through gardening and time in nature. Using all the senses — opening outward, the outward movement of energy, as spring begins to unfold.
Revelations and revolution. A time of bigger changes and shifts, and being open to and ready for these. Riding the waves rather than struggling against them. No resistance! Heightened sensitivity and overwhelm. Needing a lot more time to rest and recover and restore equilibrium. Shadow work and revelations are continuing to surface and come into the light.
Boldness in action from the heart. Beginning to carve out one’s path as guided by the heart. Stepping out into the light, speaking up, holding to one’s own values and not fitting in with the norms of the collective — a theme of the year but particularly highlighted in March.
Continuing to stand back from judgment and criticism (of both self and others) and find fellowship with others (links to co-creation with nature). What is the common ground, how can one enhance a sense of community or collaboration rather than just focusing on individual needs? A humanitarian perspective — the liver. Making decisions and choices that benefit the collective not just oneself.
Heart connections continue to grow exponentially
Noticing true connections with people, and where we’re not on the same wavelength as others. Not judging when friends aren’t available for you, or you’re not getting the responses you want in your business or work. Many people are struggling on a daily basis, and we don’t always know how much or in which ways. They may not have the capacity to be supportive at the moment or may be reining in on spending.
Finding one can talk more openly about one’s spiritual inspiration. Greater receptivity in the collective. This will be exponential!
Diving deeper into meditations, podcasts and videos that inspire you: so many like-minded souls out there, so much positive energy and vitality being shared. And bringing more of one’s soul into one’s body, through intention, creative focus or just by being and honouring one’s inner realms. My sense is — and many others are talking about this too — that embodiment will take on a life of its own once we reach the spring equinox. How prepared will each of us be?
With love
