It’s wonderful that Anna Murphy’s book Destination Fabulous is now out in paperback and can reach even more people. A fashion journalist, in an industry where appearance is everything, she explores our fear of ageing. Her journey leads her — via face reading, among other paths — to discover that true beauty really does come from within; and that getting older can bring more “self-discovery, self-expansion and self-celebration”. It’s all about living one’s own truth, learning not to care about what others think, and understanding for ourselves what makes us feel contented, not what society tells us.

I agree! When our natural spirit shines out, we have an irresistible glow. We feel expansive and connected; at one with ourselves, with others and all of nature. That’s true beauty and fulfilment to me!

I’m delighted to say Anna’s happy for me to reveal that I was the face reader she consulted for her book. The journey back to ourselves

Each time we focus on doing the things we love, being with people or in places we love, or are simply being present, we are nurturing our inner self and our spirit shines out. The more of us that focus on what really lights us up, and what’s deeply important to us, the more we can turn the collective tide of external judgment and conflict into collective kindness and collaboration instead, celebrating ourselves as we are, at any age and stage.
